Administration / Accounts Position

SALES SPECIALIST

Our dynamic business is looking for someone to join our team! The ideal candidate will be in charge of the organization and efficiency of daily office operations. From accounting to customer service , you will be responsible for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner.

 

  1. Financial & Accounting Management
  • Data Capturing: Full Pastel data capturing (debtors, creditors, cash books, bank recons, journals, BI, management packs) up to Trial Balance.
  • Accounts Receivable/Payable: Order processing, customer statements, debt collecting, and supplier reconciliation/payments.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting with month-end journals, monthly Income and Balance statements, and providing records for annual financial statements.
  • Treasury: Managing cash flow, petty cash, and executing local/Forex bank payments.

 

 

  1. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence with SARS requirements (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax).
  • E-Filing: Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE, UIF (ETI), and EMP501 via eFiling.

 

  1. Payroll & Human Resources
  • Payroll: Processing monthly salaries via Pastel Payroll and managing salary payments.
  • Staff Development: Planning and arranging yearly staff training.

 

  1. Operations, Logistics & Supply Chain
  • Inventory Management: Managing monthly stocktakes, inventory journals, and local/international stock ordering.
  • Logistics: Import of goods, fleet management, and logistics coordination.

 

  1. Office Management & Reception
  • Front Desk: Managing the reception area and staff to ensure effective internal/external communication (English & Afrikaans).
  • Facility Management: Supervising office maintenance, equipment, and facilities; interacting with IT, phone, and building personnel.
  • Admin Support: Filing, scanning, cloud storage, and arranging travel (local/international) for staff, meetings, and functions.

 

  1. Executive & Strategic Support
  • GM Assistance: Assisting the General Manager with ad hoc queries.
  • Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation for the yearly international budget meeting.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Pastel and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively within a multi-cultural / global team environment.
  • Proven strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment with competing projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities / projects, communication and interpersonal skills, including situations of conflict resolution, problem solving and crisis management. Proactive and positive team player.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment by encouraging mutual respect, innovation, and accountability at all level
