Plantis: The Allergen-free Alternative to Fining Agents of Animal Origin
Plantis is a range of fining agents based on plant proteins which is free of allergens and obtains optimal clarifying results, comparable to that obtained with traditional fining agents based on animal proteins such as gelatin, casein, egg albumin, etc.
The PLANTIS range offers three different formulations of vegan clarifying aids based on pea protein.
Plantis AF and Plantis AF-Q are specifically for juice clarification, whether static or flotation, and Protomix AF is for fermentation which:
– Clarifies juice by reducing the suspended solids that give turbidity to juice.
– Eliminates unwanted compounds that can alter the final quality of wine such as oxidized or easily oxidizable polyphenols.
– Reduces the concentration of heavy metals involved in oxidation reactions, especially iron.
– Improves sensory quality with better cleanliness and aromatic freshness and greater preservation of youthful and brilliant colors with less oxidized tones.
– Extend the life of wine (shelf life).
The Plantis line is suitable for the production of vegan and vegetarian wines and is environmentally sustainable. If we compare the production of traditional adjuvants of animal origin with plant or microbiological ones, we observe a reduction of CO2 emissions and consumption of natural resources.

PLANTIS AF
Plantis AF is a fining agent based on pure pea protein for juice clarification.
It is especially effective for:
– Static or flotation juice clarification
– Increasing wine oxidation resistance by reducing the content of iron and oxidized and easily oxidizable phenolic substances such as catechins.

Plantis AF-Q
Plantis AF-Q is a pea protein-based boosted with activated chitosan to increase the clarifying effect of the plant protein.
It ensures good clarification and forms compact lees, especially when used in flotation.
At the same time, it improves juice and wine resistance to oxidation by removing pro-oxidant metals and low molecular weight polyphenols.

Protomix AF
Protomix AF is a complex fining agent that contains bentonite, PVPP, pea protein and cellulose designed to:
– Promote regular and complete fermentation kinetics by removing inhibitors of fermentation
– Remove oxidized and oxidizable polyphenolic substances
– Improve protein stability
– Ensure good clarification and improve wine filterability
– Enhance aromatic cleanliness and improves mouthfeel
